Best Dressed: Golden Globes

I love award show season.  As a bit of a movie buff, having all the artsy independent films actually playing in movies theaters near by is great on it's own; you add the best red carpet dressing of the year and I'm shipped straight to the moon with joy.  This season in particular will be full of inspiration.  As prom is slowly looming around the corner, an inspiration board filled with all the stunning looks I'm sure we'll see this season is inevitable.  Here are my 3 best dressed looks from Sunday!

Emma Stone:

Let me start off by saying wow.  This look was by far my favorite of the night.  Emma is a big fan of menswear inspired pieces so seeing her in this gorgeous custom Lanvin jumpsuit actually made me squeal.  To keep the look simple and elegant she paired her dress with Christian Louboutin heels and a golden hair clip (which you can't see in this picture).

Lupita Nyong'o:

The darling of fashion critics from last years award season stuck again with this Giambattista Valli Haute Couture Gown.  The violet looks lovely against her skin tone.  Not that her skin isn't already amazing enough though as it's literally glowing.  She paired the dress with Chopard jewels.

Anna Kendrick:

She played Cinderella in Into the Woods (fabulous film for those of you who haven't seen it) so why not continue her princess moment to the red carpet?  Wearing as dress this shade of blush when you're as fair as Anna is brave, particularly when you know you're going to be photographed.  It's very easy to appear washed out (been there, done that) Anna on the other hand had a moment in hers.  The Monique Lhuillier dress with red appliqué (that of which I think resembles kisses) was such an exciting choice for the first major award show.  If she keeps on this track, I think Anna will have an award show season that surprises us all.

Tell us in the comment below who you thought was best dressed at this years Golden Globes?
